Yesterday, I spent the afternoon researching slurs and insults used in the early Middle Ages, after realizing the insult I originally used had not been in existence for the time period. So, I decided to write one.
My protagonist’s wife, Godliva, and his entire family are being slaughtered by his brothers. As his wife is walking to her death, she spits on her executioners and says to them:
“You are as dishonorable as a gelding is seedless!”
